House to Home Project

Way Basics is proud to have contributed our furniture to a non-profit House to Home Project. House to Home Project (H2H) is a nonprofit organization whose goal is to provide families restarting their lives after a natural disaster with the basic furnishings that makes a house a home. Created by television professionals, H2H will be recycling furniture used in TV and Film Production in addition to generous donations from furniture companies. 

In November 2008, during the first Install Week, H2H received 563 pieces of donated furniture and house wares.  H2H was able to provide 20 families each with approximately 28 pieces of furniture. H2H was able to provide everything from beds to desks to kitchen tables to over 48 individuals in the New Orleans area.

Thank You Thank You

 
For many around the nation, Thanksgiving is a time for giving thanks. But for our group at Way Basics, it’s more a time for thanking and giving back. And just like you, we want to celebrate it with our family and friends.
 
So first we want to extend a hand of gratitude to all those who have supported us and our cause by buying our eco-friendly products, emailing us feedback and questions, and taking time to read our monthly newsletter. We know how busy life can get, and we know how easy it is to ignore the environment and go for the cheapest, most accessible product. We thank you for your efforts and try everyday to make our cause worth your time.
 
  Now for the giving. Way Basics is going to be donating 36 pieces of furniture to the House to Home Project (www.housetohomeproject.org), a non-profit organization whose goal is to provide families restarting their lives after a natural disaster with the basic furnishings that makes a house a home. As part of our cause, we would like your help in finding other organizations that can direct us to families in need, who would benefit from assistance with furniture. If you know of any organizations that could help us help them, please forward this email to them.
