| Happy Lunar New Year everyone!! This year, the Lunar Calendar Year begins February 14, 2010 and goes through February 2, 2011. The New Year celebrations last 15 days and ends with the Lantern Festival which just so happens to be the first full moon.
This year is the year of the tiger, which is 3rd of 12 animals in the Chinese Zodiac. The Tiger is the sign of bravery. They are courageous and the ancient Chinese believe that they keep away fire, thieves, and ghosts which they consider the 3 main tragedies of a household. They are powerful, gracious, independent, brave, and bold. Others tigers were born in 1902, 1914, 1926, 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, and 1998. With the Lunar New Year falling on Valentine’s Day this year, we hope that love and happiness find you and your family! |

At Way Basics, we’re all about sharing the love and creative solutions for everyday living. This Valentine’s Day we’re sharing a story of love that looks to the creative side of life to express those three little words. Our founder is a busy, busy guy. Many times he wakes up in the morning earlier than his wife. And rather than wake her from her peaceful state to express his love, he uses Q tips to create shapes (hearts, cupid’s arrow) and messages to leave by her toothbrush so she will be sure to see it when she wakes up. The possibilities to express your love are endless, because there is more than one way to say “I love you”.
