How do you go green without sacrificing style? This is the question that defines EcoSalon. They believe that environmental consciousness doesn’t have to mean granola, that style and sustainability belong in the same sentence and that living green is fun, not frumpy.

sustainablog Approved: Way Basics’ Recycled Paper Furnishings
Looking for reasonably-priced shelving and storage for your home? If you make your way to the local big box store, you’re going to find a lot of items made from particle board. Yes, it’s cheap, and relatively durable, but it’s also health hazard: all those wood chips are held together withformaldehyde, a known carcinogen that will be off-gassing into your house for 5-10 years. Furthermore, once that pressboard item passes its useful life, there’s little you can do with it other than send it to the landfill.

Way Basics Recycled Paper Furniture
You don’t have to be knee deep in particle board, Allen wrenches and confusing instruction manuals to have furniture on the quick and cheap. Way Basics wants to give you back those weekends that would be spent looking for that one last, but vital part you need to finish building your new table. Put together shelves, benches and end tables made from recycled paper without any tools (other than your hands and some super strong tape). Despite how paper furniture sounds, Way Basic cubes are strong enough for a 200 lb guy to jump up and down on, which probably couldn’t be said about that stuff from a certain Swedish furniture store.
