This annual tradition of kicking out the winter blues summons morose memories of cleaning for weeks, only to find ourselves settling for stuffing everything in the closet and locking it up tight like Fort Knox. Not this spring! We know that you all love contests, so this year we are having a messy closet contest in honor of the celebrated spring cleaning season. Whoever has the closet in need of the most help will win a $200 shopping spree at waybasics.com with free shipping. Spring cleaning doesn’t sound so bad now does it? How do I participate? All you have to do is take a picture of your messy closet and email the pic to talktous@waybasics.com. From there, we will choose the top pictures and post them on our facebook wall where Way Basics fans will vote on the winner. When is the deadline? We are accepting entries for one week, ending on March 10th. At this point, we will select the finalists and let the fans on facebook vote for the winner. It could be in our product pages, design gallery, blog. . . only we know. The first three people to find the eggs and post the secret code on our Facebook Wall will each win a Collapsible Cube! Spring is Here!
With spring in the air, a bounce in your step, and a heart-felt commitment to finally get after those New Years Resolutions, Spring Fever is upon us. As the great Mark Twain once said, you may not know what it is you DO want, but it makes your heart ache and you want it so!

We’re now in the month of love, and what better way to celebrate this month than by introducing a new eco-friendly product? Way Basics would like to introduce our Collapsible Storage Bin, made from strips of newspaper that are hand-woven together. Through careful designing, it has been made into a collapsible storage box, with handles for easy carrying. The dimensions fit perfectly into one of our Way Basics cubes, and because every bin is made of different newspapers, each one is personal and unique. But these bins are limited edition, so act fast to claim your own!
Way Basics wants to remind you to love and help take care of the environment. Every year, thousands of units of furniture, literally tons, build up in our nation’s landfills. Much of this furniture, unfortunately, is completely useable, or can be made so with very little effort. Removing stains, stitching gaps, replacing springs, steam cleaning, and other methods can be used to fix up old furniture instead of throwing it out.
